Winter's Day

When I went to sleep last night, I didn't expect to wake up to snow. Nice surprise. Snow always reminds me of Sam. Our first date was a snowy blustery night and we braved it just to meet each other for the first time.

At least once-a-month we get together for dinner and life updates, talks, and laughter.  I have a 'funny quotes from real life' notebook I carried around and a good amount of the quotes came from these dinners.  

We are all so different and interesting.  Val is a video producer too and she always has way different experiences to share with me, Kate is... so many things:  Owner/Operator - Muse Marketing, Owner/Operator - BottomLineDiapers.net, Russell Stover chocolate 'marketeer,' and MORE, and Stacers is a talent agent who also teaches workshops and classes - we just celebrated a teaching position she was offered at a local college!  Way to go Stacey!!!

Feeling Brave

Brave.  Look at this.  That is a 5 year-old girl climbing through a tube waaaay up in the air.  This was taken at City Museum in St. Louis. There they use all salvaged items to create an amazing play-land that goes up 3 stories indoors and even higher outdoors.  

Remember to be brave no matter how old you are!

took place Saturday November 8th, 2008.

10 Contestants. 1 Winner. Over 50 Full Bellies.

To my shock and surprise I won the 1st Annual Songbird Cafe Chili Bowl with a White Bean Chili, called 'Weezie's White Bean Award-Winning Chili.' This recipe has no measurements, simply a list of ingredients. Taste, taste taste. Lots of extra cheese ;) I think that was the key.
